In het tijdschrift Living in juni stond een artikel over Joost Swarte's passie met de stad Haarlem. Hierin staan de adressen van een aantal favoriete plekken van Joost in Haarlem. Alleen gek dat de Toneelschuur niet in het adressenlijstje staat?!

Scouting Postzegel

A new postage stamp of Joost Swarte will be published end of july. It's a special design based on the theme 'One world one promise' to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the scouting.



Een nieuwe postzegel van Joost Swarte wordt eind julie gepubliseerd. Het is een speciaal ontwerp gebaseerd op het thema 'one world one promise' voor de viering van 100 jaar scouting.

Joost Swarte: "De zon houdt daarom de aarde vast. Ze kijkt en geniet overdag van de natuur op het land in de vorm van een vogel en zorgt daarvoor. Anderzijds is er het leven 's nachts en in het water. - met een knipoog naar de waterscouts: op de vijf postzegels is de zon daarom vervangen door de maan en is de vogel een vis in het water. Zo wordt er altijd, door iedereen goed gezorgd voor al het leven op aarde."

Johannes Enschede Hof

The "Johannes Enschede Hof" is ready and again, so close to the earlier create Toneelschuur, in the Korte Begijnestraat, it is a beautiful piece of architecture. For this project Joost Swarte agian worked together with the Dollab, the same architecture agency as the Toneelschuur.

Het Johannes Enschede Hof is klaar en het is zo vlak naast de Toneelschuur, in de Korte Begijnestraat, ook weer een prachtig stukje architectuur. Hiervoor heeft Joost Swarte weer samengewerkt met het Dollab, het zelfde bureau als bij de Toneelschuur.

Tentoonstelling; Joost Swarte Chapitres

Currently a new exhibition with about 350 pieces of his work can be seen in "Le Centre de La Gravure", La Louvière, Belgium from May 5th 2007 till August 19th 2007. I have not been there myself yet but I am planning to go this summer. Have you been there?



Momenteel is er een nieuwe tentoonstelling met meer dan 350 stukken van zijn werk in "Le Centre de La Gravure", La Louvière, Belgie van 5 mei tot en met 19 augustus 2007. Ik ben er zelf nog niet geweest maar ben wel van plan te gaan. Ben jij er al geweest?

The beginning

This is the first message on this Joost Swarte blog. I'm not sure if Joost himself will have any obligations against me making this blog about him, but as his official website (www.joostswarte.com) is not showing much news lately I would say this should not be a problem.

I myself are just a simple fan of his work and hope to catch and share any interesting news you have on his work for and from you
